. Peterhouse Boys’ School, Zimbabwe Peterhouse Boys is the earliest or first establishment of Peterhouse School. Simply known as Peterhouse the school was founded in 1953 and officially opened in 1955. It’s founders include, Fred Snell, Colonel Ellis Robins, Archbishop Edward Paget, Lord Malvern, Rev. Canon Grinham, Sir Humphrey Gibbs, and Commander Hugh Hodgkinson R.N. Peterhouse Boys is divided into six houses, named after it’s founders: 1. ELLIS HOUSE -named after Colonel Ellis Robins.
2. PAGET HOUSE -named after the then archbishop of Central Africa, Archbishop Edward Francis Paget.
3. GRINHAM HOUSE - named after Rev. Canon Robert Grinham (also founder of both Springvale House and Ruzawi primary schools (junior schools). Springvale closed in 1979, and was reopened in 1985 by Jon Calderwood, who also became its first headmaster. Calderwood later became Rector of Peterhouse).
4. FOUNDERS HOUSE - named in honour of all the many founders of Peterhouse.
5. MALVERN HOUSE - named after Lord Malvern.
